They don't think about these topics every day. But let's imagine for a moment that Google has suddenly disappeared. The company no longer exists. What will happen to the world? What will happen to the internet? What happens to those who use the company's services every day? We will try to answer all of these questions in this material.
And it is worth starting with the most important thing: What is Google doing and what is there in the world? The most important thing is of course the Google search engine. Without it, users around the world cannot find the information they need efficiently and quickly. You will be looking for an alternative to the search engine. Bing and similar little-known search engines can serve as a replacement. In some countries, local options analogous to Yandex's search are becoming increasingly popular.
The lack of Google search shouldn't be a big problem for Russia. Incidentally, searching with Yandex was much earlier than Google's solution on the World Wide Web.
Gmail has stopped working. The chaos will begin because a lot of important information can be stored in your mail letters, which can have a significant impact on the financial situation of the account holder. Millions of people will lose important information and billions of dollars. Everyone knows that information is the most expensive resource in the world.
To replace Gmail in Russia, emails can come from Mail.ru or Yandex. Other countries may also have local postal services. Dominance in this area is likely to pass to Microsoft with its services, including mail.
Everyone knows that YouTube is owned by Google. Millions of people around the world are making huge money from this site. The remaining millions are active viewers and use YouTube as a good platform for entertainment and learning. This service can now be called the entertainment center on the Internet. The World Wide Web becomes noticeably boring after being lost. Google also uses smart tape and recommendations based on neural networks. We are unlikely to get the same high quality video hosting with the advent of alternatives. The only good alternative could be Vimeo.
Millions of websites around the world will go away with the disappearance of Google because they are working on Angular – a framework from Google. They stop showing the normal font because they use the free Google fonts. Many websites use the company's cloud services, Google servers and other tools in one way or another. The disappearance of the giant can affect the proper operation of around 30% of the world's locations. Developers will lose many tools, including TensorFlow (a neural network library). We'll lose the Chrome browser, but Chromium will stay – this is the open source browser that Chrome works on. Consumers will not be left without Android phones as this is also an open source project. At the same time, however, we are losing Google services on smartphones, including Google Play. Google's unmanned vehicle project will disappear, but technically it's worse than the Yandex project, so there aren't any particular problems.
Chrome OS laptops are no longer sold on store shelves, but this is a small loss. There can be a lot to lose for Indians using the Internet, which is spread across Google's balloons.
We're also losing the best map service in the world from Google Maps. Of course there are Yandex Maps in Russia, and that's a good thing. Google has huge data sets with various data that it has constantly received through its services. Many projects have been created based on these data sets, and their disappearance may have an impact on the projects of all companies around the world. We will lose the Google Translate service – this is the only normally working translator for speech and text. Worthy alternatives have not yet been invented.

Smartwatches on Android Wear are no longer activated, as are multimedia centers for cars on Android Auto. Millions of companies will lose Google to promote their products through the AdSense project. This will lead to a decline in sales and a slowdown in the global economy. Owners of Google Pixel smartphones are left without their favorite gadgets.
As you can see, the disappearance of Google will adversely affect the entire global economy. Losses can reach hundreds of billions of dollars. How do you imagine the disappearance of Google? Share your vision in the comments and don't forget to read the news in our telegram chat.
